Wide Canal
When I came upon this scene I felt like I was standing between two skies! The colors were bright and you could feel the space even in the water. It was amazing.

Salt and Pepper
After an little summer hiatus I am back with a painting of a gift from one of my studio mates. These are salt and pepper shakers shaped like globes. This was a fun challenge to take on. And they are fun to use!

Fountain and Trees
This is the third of the fountain paintings. I like the palms and Cyprus’ in the background and the light standards. Plus the glaring light on a hot summer day.

Fountain
And now for something completely different!
This is a fountain that I was attracted to visually at a miniature golf course, of all places. It was so interesting because it was right by the freeway and it was out of place for it’s surroundings. I found it so intriguing!

Water and Camas
This was another wonderful view from my trip to Sun Valley. The overflowing stream and Camas in the background. Everything just added up.

Way to Sun Valley
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of going to “look” at things with some kindred folk that don’t mind stopping a hundred times to take pictures! We headed toward Sun Valley to check out the Camas that was in bloom and covering the landscape. I could hardly believe the beauty that was in every direction! Great day… great friends!

Lily Pads Close
Hey we are back! Our internet went out last Friday and today we are finally online.
This is a close up view of the lily pads that caught my attention. I loved the depth and shadows that played on the water and plants.

Evening Foothills
We often go up into the foothills near our home. An occurrence that happens on occasion is when the sky tells two stories. One is of the sun going down and the foothills being bathed in light, and in another direction looming storm clouds are coming in. The juxtaposition of these two events is beautiful and hard to translate into a painting. Here is my interpretation.
