Fountain
And now for something completely different!
This is a fountain that I was attracted to visually at a miniature golf course, of all places. It was so interesting because it was right by the freeway and it was out of place for it’s surroundings. I found it so intriguing!

Water and Camas
This was another wonderful view from my trip to Sun Valley. The overflowing stream and Camas in the background. Everything just added up.

Way to Sun Valley
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of going to “look” at things with some kindred folk that don’t mind stopping a hundred times to take pictures! We headed toward Sun Valley to check out the Camas that was in bloom and covering the landscape. I could hardly believe the beauty that was in every direction! Great day… great friends!

Lily Pads Close
Hey we are back! Our internet went out last Friday and today we are finally online.
This is a close up view of the lily pads that caught my attention. I loved the depth and shadows that played on the water and plants.

Evening Foothills
We often go up into the foothills near our home. An occurrence that happens on occasion is when the sky tells two stories. One is of the sun going down and the foothills being bathed in light, and in another direction looming storm clouds are coming in. The juxtaposition of these two events is beautiful and hard to translate into a painting. Here is my interpretation.

Lily In Water
As I got a little closer to the pond I could see down into the water and could make out some of the underwater growth.
This was a challenge to paint! But I always like a good challenge.

Saturated Hillside
I love the play of the path and the small tree on this hill. And the green! Everything was so vibrant and quitetly beautiful. Great painting day!

The Mesa
As you go around the Mesa you get a great view of the open field down to the river.
And on the way back you get a view back at the Mesa. It is a great backdrop for the valley.

Back Road
I have been getting some questions about my site so I thought I would clear a few things up.
I am accomplishing a painting everyday that will go up for auction on Ebay. I will always have a link here to get to the auction. I have chosen to keep the paintings consistently 5″x7″ so that they are easy for me to ship and you to frame. So far this process has just ignited my imagination and made me a better painter. I look at things differently and am able to analyze images on a smaller scale. And I am working with Susan, my wife. This has brought us closer together. We do most everything together-but she is focusing on this too and knows alot more about the computer world then I do! Thank heavens!

I have always enjoyed getting off the beaten path on my way to work or on the way to anywhere, for that matter.
This is one of those back roads with trees that protect.
